Open to the public for free! Bring your family!

9:00 am: Exhibits & Resource Fair Open.  Food trucks throughout the day!  Click here for the list of food trucks!

10:00am: Opening Ceremonies

  • National Anthem, Elliott McKenzie, USMC Veteran

  • Invocation, Chaplain Ted Tenario (NAVA)

  • Remarks by:  Supervisor Janice Hahn, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Lieutenant General Stayce Harris, Brigadier General Ruth Wong, Captain Alberto Diaz (Chief Pilot, United Airlines), Phillip Washington (Chief Executive Officer, LA Metro)

  • Torch lighting at Coliseum

  • God Bless the U.S.A, performed by SSG Tucker, US Army

  • Armed Forces Medley played by Beach Brass

  • Benediction by Major Brenda Threatt, Long Beach California State Guard (Army Division)

11:45am:  Performances by: Rock for Vets and Palishades

3:00pm:  Event Closes

OUR GOAL

Our 2019 mission is to build onto the community passion for veterans having saved the name of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and establish an annual event celebrating the contributions of our L.A. Veterans – the largest population of veterans in the U.S.

PARKING

The event is open to the public with ample available parking at Exposition Park.  More information on rates and directions at http://expositionpark.ca.gov/parking/

 

Free Parking is available for the first 500 vehicles at Lot 6, located off of MLK Blvd.  After the first 500, parking is $12. 

 

There is additional free parking available at 318 W. Adams Blvd.  Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.  Shuttles will operate between the hours of 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM and then again from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.  Shuttles are ADA accessible.  Staff will be on site to provide assistance
